House Speaker Charles McCall on Tuesday said he believes the tribal gaming compacts automatically renewed.

“In my opinion, the compact has renewed for another 15 years,” said McCall, R-Atoka.

He was asked about his views during an interview concerning the upcoming legislative session.

Gov. Kevin Stitt believes the gaming compacts expired Jan. 1 and that continued Class III gaming is illegal. He is seeking higher rates.
