Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority sets up call center
Oklahoma City — If you're confused about how to apply for a medical marijuana license, the people at a new call center might be able to help.
The Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority has set up a phone line for licensing questions, 405-522-6662. It is staffed from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. People who intend to apply for licenses also can send questions to email@example.com.
The Oklahoma State Department of Health will begin accepting applications for patient, caregiver and business licenses at 10 a.m. Saturday, at omma.ok.gov.
Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority project manager Buffy Heater said the call center is “another benchmark” in moving Oklahoma's program forward.
“We have had a number of questions about requirements since the emergency rules were updated earlier this month and we now have staff in place to help interested parties understand the application process,” she said in a news release.
