'Patterson Must Go' banner flies over Texas-Rice game
Someone isn't very fond of the Texas Longhorns' athletic director.
Prior to Texas' game against Rice on Saturday, a plane flew over Daryl K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium with a banner which read "PATTERSON MUST GO." The banner is in reference to much-maligned Longhorns AD Steve Patterson.
Texas started its season with a 38-3 loss against Notre Dame on the road, which prompted coach Charlie Strong to demote offensive coordinator Shawn Watson and promote wide receivers coach Jay Norvell to UT's playcaller.
