Oklahoma City police release footage of man taking officer's Taser

Oklahoma City police on Wednesday released body camera footage of a suspected shoplifter taking an officer's Taser during a ground scuffle.

Damarian Lamarquis Lee, 27, was arrested on complaints of assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and larceny, according to a police report.

Lee is accused of stealing a video game system from Game Stop, 2325 W Memorial Road, the evening of Feb. 1.

The footage shows two officers chasing Lee on foot. As officers are attempted to arrest him, Lee gets control of the Taser, which can be seen in his right hand on the video.

One of the officers points his pistol at Lee as as he's wrestled to the ground.

"You're getting ready to get shot," he says.

"Shoot me," Lee responds.

A witness in a car can also be seen and heard on the footage telling Lee to surrender.

The video ends when Lee is handcuffed after about 2 1/2 minutes.
