Stillwater girl dies after skating into vehicle
STILLWATER — An 11-year-old girl died after skateboarding into a vehicle Sunday evening, police said.
About 5 p.m., Anna Marie Davis, was riding a skateboard down her driveway and into the road as a vehicle was passing in the 900 block of W Brown, police Capt. Kyle Gibbs said.
A bush blocked both of their views, and the girl skated into the vehicle, he said.
She was flown to an Oklahoma City hospital where she died Monday morning, he said.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with Anna, her family and all those affected by this tragedy. Administrators at Anna’s school have been advised so they can take appropriate steps for when her classmates and friends return to school tomorrow," Gibbs wrote in a news release.
