Man sought on murder warrant in fatal Sunday shooting
A warrant has been issued for a man accused of firing shots that killed a bystander outside a northwest Oklahoma City apartment complex Sunday night.
Patrick Bernard Slaughter Jr., 21, is sought on a complaint of first-degree murder, according to a warrant filed Wednesday in Oklahoma County District Court.
He was not charged Thursday.
Slaughter is accused of being involved in a confrontation with three other men Sunday night outside an apartment building at 7805 Lyrewood Lane. Two of the men pulled guns and started firing, according to the arrest warrant.
One of the bullets struck 26-year-old Ranika Lindsey in the neck.
She was taken to OU Medical Center where she died, the warrant states.
A witness identified Slaughter, who also goes by the street name of "Turtle," from a photograph line-up, according to the warrant.
